When heading to Sephora or the drugstore, one can be overwhelmed by the amount of beauty products offered in front of you. So if you want to know what to get, keep on reading!
SKINCARE.
I think it’s really important to take care of your skin, to get a beautiful base for your makeup to be applied.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash.
This is an amazing face wash as it cleans your skin while leaving it hydrated and soft. Doesn’t strip your skin of its natural oils!
I’m already on my second tube!
Philosophy The Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash.
It’s quite important to have a facial scrub as there are days in which your skin might be rough and you just want to smoothen the surface.
Drugstore brands might have coarser beads which would tear your skin and cause some issues, so do try to invest in a high end exfoliator!
Wild Rose Moisturizing and Brightening Cream.
A moisturizer with SPF would be great as it can double up as a sunscreen as well. It’s particularly important to moisturize your skin well otherwise, your skin would try and produce more oil, leading to a breakout.
It also acts as a base for your makeup, protecting your skin from the chemicals.
MAKEUP.
CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation.
I personally feel that foundation is a makeup essential as you might be suffering from redness or acne. A foundation with the appropriate amount of coverage can give you an even base and give you much more confidence as you don’t have to worry about what other’s are thinking of your skin issues.
If you have great skin already, do spot treatment with a concealer and I’d recommend Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer.
Filling in your brows will do the most difference as it’s said to be the second thing a person notices of you.
Some of your brows might be sparse, so this would be perfect for making them full and filling out any empty spots.
Neutral eyeshadows are essentials as they’re perfect for everyday use, especially when you have matte and glittery shades all in a palette.
Eyeshadows can add extra definition and bring out the color of your eyes when applied correctly.
A cheaper (and smaller) alternative would be the Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Trios.
NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base.
An eyeshadow primer is important if you’re using eyeshadow as it’ll get rid of the ugly creasing and keep your eyeshadow lasting all day. Especially with the NARS eyeshadow primer, where it won’t budge at all.
This can double up as a lip color as well as a cheek color, which is great for reducing the amount of space taken up in your makeup bag.
There’s a highlighting effect in this as well, which can bring out a youthful glow.
Marc Jacobs Lovemarc – Lip Gel.
Get a lipstick that makes you feel great about yourself. This will definitely boost your confidence and exude a certain aura when you get a color that makes you feel comfortable.
This would come in handy during the summer when you’re wearing shorts and realise that you have lots of scars and ugly marks. The spray would smooth out any discolorations and give you an even base.
This is my favorite scent and I think it’s really important for women and girls to own a perfume. Choose one that makes you feel confident and sexy about yourself.
Get a signature scent and try not to change it, this way, whenever someone smells a scent similar to yours somewhere, they’d immediately think of you. (Especially if you’re trying to make a mark on one of your crushes.)
Nivea A Kiss of Milk & Honey Soothing Lip Care.
This lipbalm is amazing, it helps me get rid of all the dead skin (which I rub off) after being applied.
Lipbalms are important as you want your lipstick to glide over your lips easily without clinging on to any dry areas and accentuating them.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara.
Mascara’s are important as they can help open up your eyes and make you seem more awake.
Get a mascara which lengthens a lot and actually does a difference to your lashes.
