The Body Shop Haul!

So yesterday I was at the mall and I saw that The Body Shop was having a sale.

Taking a deep breath in, I just quickly and casually browsed through all the items that were on sale. Somehow, I managed to convince myself that I don’t need anything, crazy, I know!

I got really bothered by how I didn’t pick anything up so I rushed back down to the mall, hoping that the sale was still on.

Thank heavens, yes it was, so now we have a haul post!

The items were up to 70% off, ka-ching!

the body shop cranberry joy

Cranberry Joy Body, Room and Linen Spritz.

I’ve been meaning to get this for a long time now, but somehow, I didn’t. It’s only $10 now, so of course, into my basket it went.

It doesn’t smell particularly Christmas-y, so it’s fine to use it all year long! It might be a tad too berry for some of you.

the body shop body butter

Shea and Mango Body Butters.

I bought the small ones, not knowing whether I’d like them or not. They were 2 for $10, so I thought it was a pretty good deal.

Plus since they’re small, I can find out what scents I like better and what to get more of in the future.

I bought the shea and mango scented ones, which aren’t that bad! Shea reminds me a bit of an independent woman and the mango is just sweet and pretty.

They melt into the skin relatively quickly, without leaving a film of grease on the skin, which is great!

I might just get more soon enough.

the body shop cleansing wipes

Vitamin E Gentle Facial Cleaning Wipes.

I really like the Vitamin E line from The Body Shop, I have a facial wash which is amazing as it cleans my face, without leaving it totally dried out.

I thought I’d grab some facial wipes for those days where I want to freshen myself up after physical ed. This would come in handy for freshening your face and removing makeup!

Along with this, I picked up the Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes.

They were 2 for $15!

the body shop seaweed

The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream.

These were $10 for 4, so why not pick it up, especially since I can mix it with the Apricot and Rice Finishing Mist.

I don’t exactly have oily skin, but I feel that this might come in handy for those days where I want to keep some shine out of the way.

The texture of this cream was definitely thinner than I expected, I thought it might have the consistency of a serum, since it’s “mattifying”.

But I guess it’s great that it’s quite light, so it won’t clog them pores.

Japan Apricot & Rice Finishing Mist.

The “finishing mist” enticed me the most, I have to admit. I really don’t like the powdery look I tend to get when I have makeup on, so I have been on the search for a product that can take that away.

It smells very fresh and yet a tinge of sexy, which is very interesting. Sexy in a strong woman way, following my train of thoughts?

Alright, so that’s all I have for now, I hope you’ve enjoyed it and managed to get some ideas on what to get if you’re stepping into a Body Shop store soon!

I can see myself going back to get more items, but oh boy, I’m not being kind to my wallet at all.

Disclaimer : All photos are mine and I have not been paid to recommend any of the items mentioned above.

NYX // CoverGirl

Recently, I bought some stuff off drugstore.com and I’m really stoked about the items I got. I waited for ages and literally screamed and danced with my dog when I saw the package at home. Joy.

In there included 2 CoverGirl products and a NYX one.

{I} NYX blush in the shade, Peach.

Oh my momma, this blush is super pigmented. One tap on it with a finger, you can see a distinct pink and the pink is really pretty too! It’s somewhere between girly and coral-ly, super pleased with this! Pretty sure it’ll be able to last me a long time since I don’t need much of the product each time I use it. Overall rating, 7.5/10!

{II} CoverGirl BB cream in Light-Medium.

I haven’t tried many BB creams my whole life, but the few that I’ve tried gave me too much coverage, and I personally don’t like that because I don’t want to cover up too much.
This was close to perfect! Covered up some mild ugly places and was super natural. It gives a dewy finish at first, but it’ll be matte once your skin absorbs it. This color suits me perfectly and I would definitely buy it again! However I just wished it smelled nicer. Rating 8/10.

{III} CoverGirl professional loose powder in translucent medium.

I have not tried this yet, but it sure does look promising. The shade again, suits me well and there’s quite a lot of product for the price I paid! I’m currently waiting for my e.l.f brushes to arrive and then I’ll be able to try this baby out. There’s a puff provided inside, but it doesn’t smell too good so I’m not keen on using it. Will do an update once I’ve tried the powder!

As you can probably tell, I love CoverGirl products. They’re affordable and of great quality! It’ll be amazing if I manage to get sponsored by them someday.

Also, did any one of you manage to get the 50% off deal on the e.l.f website? I went nuts and bought products worth up to $80. Can’t wait till they arrive and I can show you what I got!

Still then, stay pretty!
