Christmas Haul! |Blogmas Day 11.

This wasn’t exactly for Christmas, but the items arrived yesterday so I thought I’d do a collective Christmas haul! It’s in December anyway – and I’ll include some mini reviews!

There are quite a few items, so it would be a pretty long post… Grab a hot chocolate, sit back and enjoy reading!

I’ll try to include as many pictures as possible so it won’t be as boring.

BEAUTY TOOLS.

christmas haul

covergirl eyelash curler

CoverGirl Make-up Masters Lash Curler.

A lash curler’s a lash curler, and as long as it does its job, I’m fine with it! This works better when I curl it like how Estee (essiebutton) does. Watch her Face-Of-The-Day videos and you’ll see what I mean!

Decent product, no complains.

Available here.

too faced flatbuki

Too Faced Flatbuki Brush.

I  love how soft this brush is, it feels amazing against my skin. The thinness of it allows easily contouring and the broader part is great for blush / highlight on the cheekbones.

However the handle’s a little too short for my liking.

Available here.

elf powder brush

e.l.f studio powder brush.

Really dense and soft as well, the studio collection has to be the best out of all the brushes they sell.

I really like to use this to set my foundation (when I use it) as I feel that it presses the powder into my skin and locks the foundation / concealer in place.

My favorite brush out of all the ones I have!

Available here.

elf complexion brush

e.l.f Studio Complexion Brush.

More of a domed shape, I feel that it’s great for blush application as it picks the right amount of product and sweeps it nicely across my cheeks.

Perfect for blending those harsh lines away!

Available here.

elf angled brush

e.l.f studio small angled brush.

I got this in the hopes of finally being able to use my e.l.f cream eyeliner, but I just found out how horrible it was so this brush is slightly redundant.

However I read that I could use it to apply lip color as well / do my brows, so I’m going to try that!

Available here.

elf contour brush

e.l.f studio contour brush.

This picks up quite a lot of color and that’s great for me! Perfect for blending the colors together on the lids.

Available here.

EYE MAKEUP.

eye makeup

l'oreal butterfly mascara

L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara.

I have yet to try this out, as you can most probably tell.

I’m trying to finish my other mascaras yet, perhaps keep this till next year?

Not exactly the best, but I still have mascaras to use.

Available here.

avon mega effects mascara

Avon Mega Effects Mascara.

I saw Emily (emilynoel83 on YouTube) talking about it and I wanted to get one because of the funny paint brush, brush.

avon mascara

To be honest, I poked my eye while trying it out. I was slightly too excited and worried at the same time, my hand shook and I blinked.

Alleluia I still can see!

avon mascara

You need to pull the handle and wiggle it all about to open it.

I don’t particularly think that there’s a “mega effect” after applying it, but it is better than the average ones out there.

For a washable mascara, it left black marks under my eyes after washing my face, so I don’t use it as often.

Available here.

urban decay

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil.

I got it in the Glinda palette and I’m loving it. Currently a staple in my everyday makeup, or should I say, my everyday routine.

I use it each time I go out, that just proves how amazing it is.

urban decay

I got it in the shade Rockstar and though it’s purple, I have to say that it’s pretty natural! Doesn’t smudge even though it has been on for about 7 hours and removes immediately when I use my face wash.

My collection of these eyeliners will not stop here!

One sad part is that I have to sharpen the pencil, I never liked to do that.

Available here.

elf kohl eyeliner

e.l.f Studio Kohl Eyeliner.

Decent product, pretty pigmented! I think you should make it slightly blunt before using it. It’s pretty sharp when you receive it and it’s pretty painful…

elf studio kohl eyeliner

I love that it comes with a sharpener and a smudger, makes life easier.

I feel that the smudger can be used to create a more natural look / a smokey eye!

Not as frequently used as my Urban Decay liner, but I’ll still give it credits!

Available here.

lancome eyeshadow

Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow Palette in Honeymoon.

This is a travel sized one which I got off eBay, and honestly I’m pretty happy to have bought it.

Amazing pigmentation and I love the neutral shades!

lancome eyeshadow

I think that the pink shade can help give a playful and flirty look, which is cool!

The shades are suitable for an everyday use and I’m really liking it. My favorite eyeshadow quad.

Available here.

lancome eyeshadow

Some not so amazing swatches.

urban decay primer potion too faced shadow insurance

Urban Decay Primer Potion. (Left)

Too Faced Shadow Insurance. (Blue)

Like the lash curlers, I have no preference. They’re primers and if they can do the job, then that’s great, I’m keeping it! It made my lids feel really silky and smooth, enjoying it!

Available here. (Urban Decay)

Available here. (Too Faced)

elf eyeshadow

e.l.f Essential Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick.

This is in French Lace, and I like to say that it’s pretty close to Stila’s Kitten eyeshadow.

This is really creamy and the stick form makes it rather easy for application. It can be used to brighten up the inner corners of the eye / as a wash of color across the lids to perk yourself up.

At $2 only? Y-E-S

Available here.

benefit bright eyes

Benefit Peek-A-Bright Eyes

I have mixed feelings about this. Benefit Cosmetics is one of my favorite brands, ever, and this has not exactly lived up to what I wanted.

Maybe it’s just me, I’d like to think that.

benefit peek a bright eyes

The yellow shade + the brown one makes it seem like I have mud on my eyes…

The pink shade though, excellent for lifting your brows and used as a highlight for the browbone, including the inner corners.

However, on the extreme left, is an eye brightener and as the name suggests, brighten the eyes.

Love the brushes & everything, just not how the colors come together. I will find a way to make it work though.

Available here.

l'oreal eyeshadow

L’Oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Quad in Subtle Berries.

I was so excited when I saw this, the colors are the ultimate neutral and I had so high expectations of it.

But.

When I swatch it, it looks fine, but when I apply it on my lids, somehow they just didn’t work out!

l'oreal eyeshadow

I want to try and make this work though, the colors are so gorgeous.

Available here.

wet n wild

Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Trio in Walking On Eggshells.

This arrived yesterday, so I have yet to have the chance to try it out yet.

But the hype is real! Really pigmented and natural, I can’t wait to use it.

wet n wild

Here’s some awful swatches.

Madly in love with the eyelid shade!

Available here.

LIPPIES.

lip makeup

stila lipglazes

Stila Lipglaze.

I got this in their Color Me Glossy Lip Glaze Set.

It’s also the first Stila item I own, I know.

I love the scents of these and gives the perfect amount of pigmentation when I apply it on my lips. It does feel sticky, I have to say, but it doesn’t stick my hair for some reason!

Can’t wait to use the rest!

Available here.

coral lustre

Maybelline Lipstick in 840 Coral Lustre.

This comes off pretty sheer so it’s pretty good because I don’t want too orange lips. It goes on quite smooth as well!

It can be too sheer for some of you though!

Honestly, no compliments and no negative comments.

maybelline coral lustre

Available here.

urban decay

Urban Decay Super-Saturated Lip Color in Glinda.

I got this in the Urban Decay Glinda palette (pretty obvious) along with the 24/7 eyeliner.

I love how nude this is and I feel super natural with this on. There’s a fair share of glossiness that gives a pretty sheen.

I felt so sad about how it has to be sharpened, I accidentally made a big dent at the base while trying to see if I had to sharpen it.

urban decay glinda

Available here. (I think Naked is the closest to this color!)

l'oreal color riche

L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Royal Red and Compelling Coral.

It’s really interesting to have 2 “rings” in the lipstick. Apparently it has Anti-Aging Serum in it and it’ll fill surface lines and create fuller looking lips.

Really creamy, I have to say.

l'oreal lipstick royal red

I love this red, it is a pretty deep red that has amazing pigmentation!

It’s a full cover, and I feel that it comes off as a more “classy” version of the famous Taylor Swift’s red lips.

Available here.

l'oreal lipstick compelling coral

I don’t really feel that it’s a coral color, it’s more of a mix between a dusty pink and coral.

This gives a really natural effect on the lips and is the “my lips but better” look.

Really creamy as well, I think some can get away without applying a layer of lip balm before this.

I can see myself using this pretty often!

Available here.

l'oreal lipstick

revlon lip butter

Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie.

Like my lip butter in Berry Smoothie, I’m loving this as well. It has to be one of my most used lip product!

I like to apply a layer of lip balm to soften my lips and smooth them out before dotting this all over and sheering it out. That gives an amazingly natural look which makes you seem like you have really nice pink lips.

Got that tip from Tanya Burr!

revlon lip butter

I was so upset when I first received it because it was too bright for me and it wasn’t as smooth as my first lip butter.

But after learning what Tanya did to hers, I’m obsessed.

revlon lip butter

Available here.

mac viva glam

MAC Viva Glam Nicki.

I’m a huge fan of Nicki Minaj, so I have to say that this was an impulse buy.

The color’s too pink and vibrant for me, but when used with a lip brush and sheered out, it can be used for an everyday look!

mac viva glam

Mine looks a little messed up because it melted. (sad face)

FACE MAKEUP.

face makeup

elf contour and blush

e.l.f Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzer in St Lucia.

I love this so much! The bronzer’s perfect for my skin tone and it’s pretty pigmented as well.

I use it to define my jaw line more than enhance my cheekbones just because I’ve yet to master the skill of contouring the cheeks.

elf contour and blush

People like to say that this is a knockoff of the Nars Orgasm & Laguna duo and I have to agree! Though the color payoff isn’t that close, it still is and I’m gonna give them credit for it!

Available here.

naked flushed

Urban Decay Naked Flushed.

If you read my blog a lot, you should know that I dropped this baby and it broke. Read all about it here!

After using alcohol to press them together, the color payoff died. Nothing gets on my brush when I tap it in and it’s pretty saddening.

urban decay naked flushed

Until I figure out what to do with the broken pieces and how to get it working again, it’ll be sitting at the bottom of my makeup stash.

The bronzer can be really pretty but might be too orange for some and the highlight might make you seem shiny instead.

Available here.

blush

Powder Blush.

I’m sorry, I’m not too sure about the brand because I got it from Daiso!

I thought that the colors were really pretty and when they were swirled together, wasn’t too bad!

blush swatch

20131211-182650.jpg

It was pretty cheap too, win!

smashbox

Smashbox Photo Set Pressed Powder.

I got this in a lot that I bought from eBay and honestly, I have no opinions about this.

smashbox pressed powder

A powder’s a powder, and if it does its job, great!

Available here.

elf studio blush

e.l.f Studio Baked Blush in Pinktastic.

This shouldn’t be a blush, honestly. There’s way too much shimmer, so be careful because it might make you seem oily!

elf studio blush

It looks really gorgeous though!

For the browbone, inner corners of your eye and the top of your cheekbones.

Available here.

elf studio

e.l.f Studio Radiance Enhancer in Sunrise.

I got this in the hopes of using it as a bronzer / a highlight for the face. But the real color’s a little too dark for highlight so I’ll see how I’m going to use it!

elf radiance enhancer

I love the pen form of makeup. It feels so professional cool!

elf studio

Available here.

elf shimmering whip

e.l.f Shimmering Facial Whip in Pink Lemonade.

I wanted a cream blush that would suit my skin tone and I thought that this would work.

Well, no.

When I started to blend it, it became nothing. Imagine how disappointing it was.

elf whip

I’ll try to figure out a way to use this. It looks too cute to chuck it aside.

Available here.

nars orgasm

Nars Powder Blush in Orgasm.

I’ve finally bought it! The ever raved blush, and the hype is real. The pigmentation and color are both amazing.

nars orgasm

It gives me a very natural healthy glow that I feel, makes me look fresh and pleasing. I think I might do a whole review about this!

RANDOM ITEMS.

random

Here are some extra stuff that I’ve gotten but don’t have a group to go to so they’re in here!

Rimmel 60 Second Nail in Mintilicious.Here.

The color’s very turquoisey blue and I’m loving it! One sad part is how stressed I feel to have to paint my nails fast before they dry.

Not Your Mother’s Sea Salt Spray.Here.

I was really hoping for beachy waves, but all I got was dry hair. Maybe I did something wrong, I’ll try it again and I’ll tell you!

eos Holiday edition.

I love how the cherry blossom hand cream smells like.

Maybelline Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencil. Here.

This makes my brows really natural and I’m super grateful because my brows are being wacky and I can finally fill them in without looking like I have caterpillars on my face.

Smashbox rollerball perfume in Heartbreaker.

Love, love, love the scent!

Burberry rollerball perfume in Brit.

Very classy and elegant.

Alright, that’s all I have for today! Hope you’ve enjoyed it and stay tuned for more!
