Alright, another series that I’m attempting to complete! So let’s just jump right in and see what has been working for me this month.

{ BASE }

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum

I did a review on it which you can read here, and I feel that this just gives an amazing base which evens out your skin tone really well.

Smells amazing, looks amazing, feels amazing. What’s there not to love?

Bobbi Brown BB Cream

I’m aware that Bobbi Brown has came out with a CC cream which I’m very keen on getting because I’ve seen someone use it and I love the coverage it gives and the finish it has.

This evens out my skin tone and leaves a slight dewy finish. I like using this for a natural look and just for an everyday wear.

Trying not to finish this too fast because it isn’t cheap!

{ FACE }

Topshop Cream Blush in Neon Rose.

I can’t find it on the web, but I’m pretty sure it’s sold in stores!

This is my definitely go to blush for a “glowing” look as it makes me seem alive, healthy and fresh.

It gives you a little of the flush you get after a long run, and I like to put this on my cheekbones.

{ LIPS }

Stila Lip Glaze in Melon.
(I can’t find the link, but I got this in the Christmas set)

This is an amazing lip gloss as it doesn’t feel as though you have something on your lips. It smells nice too!

The color “Melon” is really natural and perfect for an everyday look.

My pet peeves about lip glosses are their stick factor and this is not as sticky as the other lip glosses out there which is a plus point because now it won’t seem as you have glue on your lips!

{ EYES }

Maybelline Rocket Volum’ Express.

This mascara lengthens my lashes like no other, and I had a guy who asked me if I fake lashes on.

Not sure if it’s because guys can’t really tell, or maybe it made my lashes really long. I really like the staying power, it’s pretty hard to remove and it isn’t even the waterproof formula!

It’s the perfect “in a rush” product to use because you can definitely see a difference when you have this on.

But lately I’ve seen some smudging, which isn’t much of a problem because I have my new Bioderma micellar water.

{ MISC }

Bioderma Sensibio H2O.

This is perfect for removing those mascara smudges or eyeliner problems. The best part is that you don’t have to rinse it off, how much more convenient can it get?

I will definitely be repurchasing it when there’s a discount.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

This brush is firm and does an amazing job at blending out the foundation. It feels amazing on the skin and the shorter bristles and how dense it is makes it a holy grail brush for me.

Though my E.L.F brushes are really soft, this brush has won my heart over them. Looking forward to get more in the future!

Disclaimer : I have not been paid to recommend any of the products mentioned above and all opinions are mine.

In a rush!

Face it, some of us prefer having that extra hour of sleep, rather than spending it on doing makeup. SO. This post will be for those of us that are running late, but still want to look “presentable” and fresh.

Concealer : This is essential because the dark circles under our eyes causes us to look tired and by concealing them, it fakes the fact that we’ve been up all night “studying” or doing “work” and makes it seem as though we’ve had a full 8 hour sleep.

The Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer is great because of its amazing coverage and how easy it blends into the skin. The wand applicator also makes it easy to apply the concealer at target areas. Simply dot it at areas you want to cover up and with a clean finger, pat and blend it into the skin. You can also use a brush! If you have veins on your eyelids, you can also use this to cover them up.

Personally, I would not recommend the roller-ball type concealers. Although they’re much easier to apply, they do not provide much coverage and it isn’t ideal for those that have bad dark circles due to allergies or the lack of sleep.

Eyebrows : I never believed how eyebrows would affect the whole appearance but after seeing how girls look with and without their eyebrows filled, those brows make a whole lot of difference. This step is really important for those that have thin, sparse brows. If yours are thick and full, count yourself lucky and skip this step.

Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil is one of the many choices that is available in drugstores. However, this is one of the few that comes with a spooly like brush that helps to blend the color into the brows easier, without making the brows look awkward and messy.

Mascara : This gives more life to the eyes, making them look bigger and more awake. Choose a mascara that doesn’t clump your lashes, gives great volume and length.

L’Oreal Voluminous Volume Building Mascara has been highly raved by everyone and it really works. Once applied, it seems as though you have beautiful thick long lashes! For a more natural look, choose a brown mascara.

Another alternative would be the CoverGirl Clump Crusher, I’ve had a love hate relationship with this, and currently I love it because when compared to the other mascaras I have, it gives the greatest volume and least amount of clumps. Well, it doesn’t seem to have any clumps anyway. I’m not a huge fan of the Maybelline The Colossal Volum Express Mascara because there’s a very weird scent to it, or maybe it’s only my own tube. Decent mascara, I have to say. But I won’t be re-purchasing it for sure!

Lips : I always get so excited when it comes to lip products because there are so many options around and I would personally just use a lip product and head out of the house. Being the biased person I am, here are my top 3 choices.

The CoverGirl Smoochies Lip Balm is a fab choice because it gives the lips a wash of color and isn’t anything too bold that can be a challenge for some people. I have one in Luv Bug and it’s amazing, I was on Omegle the other day and had that on my lips, almost everyone who came across me commented on how good my lips looked. There’s a very nice scent and a fair amount of glitter, reminds me of something I’d use when I was younger!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss is a good choice for those that like a glossy finish. I personally think that the shade Super Natural can suit every skin tone. It has the slightest pink undertone and a mauve top color, which is great for those that aren’t very into pinks and still want that “your lips but better” look.

Image

Last but not least, Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me is one of my picks. It’s more of a tinted lip balm that has more of a glossy finish. It smells wonderful and nostalgic, one of those cherry chapsticks that I used to own as a kid, and the amount of color is perfect. Nothing too bold, it’s pretty sheer but definitely gives your lips a “better” color.

There you have it! A look for those who have to rush out of the door in 5 minutes or those that want to look super natural. Hope you’ve enjoyed this post and benefitted from it, stay tuned for more posts!
