New Year’s Makeup!

For New Year’s, I think we should go pretty extravagant because it’s the start of a new year and we would want to look extra special.

My ideal New Year’s look would be glitter, gold and bold!

Benefit The Porefessional.

 It is quite important to use a primer because you want your makeup to stay on your skin without sliding anywhere while you’re partayyying through the night!

{ FOUNDATION }

If you’re ordering off the drugstore website, do check out CoverGirl’s website for the shade choices as drugstore.com doesn’t have quite an accurate color comparison.

{ EYEBROWS }

It’s time to go strong for this look, but not overly thick. Strong defined ones are the best, not caterpillar like.

Maybelline Define-A-Brow. 

I feel that pencil is really easy and quick, but you want a more natural look, you can try a powder instead.

Anastasia Brow Powder Duo. 

Their page comes along with advises on which shade to get!

{ EYESHADOW }

Nars Eyeshadow Primer.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in Silver Strike.

This as a base will give a very nice dimension and pop to the eyes when you use your normal eyeshadow over it. Just apply it all over the lids.

Revlon ColorStay Smoky Eyeshadow Stick in Flare.

Use the lighter color all over the lid and the darker one in the crease. Feel free to build up the intensity but remember to blend well to reduce any harsh lines!

{ EYELINER }

Maybelline Gel Eyeliner.

We’re going for a winged effect!

{ MASCARA }

Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies.

Curl your eyelashes and apply a few coats of it!

{ CHEEKS }

Nars Powder Blush in Sin.

This gives an amazing glow and I feel that it complements the eyes very well.

{ LIPS }

Yves Saint Laurent Glossy Stain in Mauve Pigmente.

This will neutralise the whole look as the eyes were pretty smokey already and it’d be too much to have a bright lip.

Finish everything off with Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray which will allow your makeup to last throughout the entire party night.

I feel that face exfoliators should be a staple in everyone’s bathroom.

Sometimes, there are days in which your face would feel gunky and bumpy, and it feels really unsettling while you’re cleansing your face.

So a face exfoliator will come into action and smooth out everything, making your face feel smooth and soft!

This is the ultimate luxurious eyeshadow!

(According to Fleur) It’s really buttery and smooth. The color saturation is really great as well!

I would absolutely love to get my hands on this palette.

Tay Bomber Jacket. 

I admit, this is just something I want.

But I think it’d be pretty cute for those teenage girls who are on the rocker side.

Designed together with Tay Jardine from We Are The In Crowd, this seals the deal as the punk / rock jacket.

This can also give a boy-ish feel to a girly outfit!

Time.

Remember when it was just New Year’s day?

This year is already coming close to an end.

I’m turning 16 in less than 2 months and it scares me.

More responsibilities and mainly, my O levels.

I’ll have to study so hard, and most probably leave this blog in the lurch for quite a long time, and I feel bad.

I wish time would just stop and give me a break.

I’ll be able to do whatever I want without having to worry about time passing.

Then maybe when I’m happy with everything, I’ll resume time and carry on with my life.
