(Late) Sunday Funday! | Snickeriggles

I’m terribly sorry for not posting anything lately, I’ve been so busy with school and I finally have a little time off to write something!

In my attempt at Sunday Funday, I have failed last week. It just hit me how boring my Sundays are, or at least how it’ll be until next sunday. So here are 3 snippets from my day.

Review : Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation.

I picked this up after finding a Bourjois stand in my drugstore, and after hearing all the good things Estée had to say about it. Now I understand why.

First, the smell. This definitely has to be one of the best smelling face product I’ve ever used (excluding all the moisturizers from The Body Shop) and I would just pump some out to smell it.

Shh, don’t judge.

It smells fruity and fresh, which isn’t exactly something to look for while choosing a foundation, but hey, you’re putting it all over your face, you don’t want anything that smells nasty.

Second, the blendability. It has a smooth texture and can be blended out easily all over your face. One pump is enough for my whole face and part of my neck so it doesn’t seem that I have a mask on.

I like to apply it with my new Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and when I blend it into my skin, it doesn’t seem that I have any foundation on, really natural.

Third, it isn’t heavy at all. It offers a light to medium coverage which is enough for me because my skin isn’t very problematic. I don’t feel like I my skin has any foundation on, nothing that makes me want to scratch my face off.

Overall, I think it’s an amazing foundation, my current face item at the moment. Perfect for beginners, you should pick it up if you can!

Floral Creepers

Seriously, what’s with girls and floral creepers? Don’t know what that is?

I don’t understand any part of its “beauty” it just looks cheap to me. It’s like the designer decided to mix feminine and masculine together, but then, why not just get pink boots?

And this definitely can’t be worn by girls who are too skinny because it looks like their twiggy legs are going to break under the weight of this chunky looking shoes. This suits girls who has a medium build, not too thin and neither too big.

I think it has to be worn with jeggings / leggings / jeans. If you want to pair it with a skirt, get Vans instead. It’ll be too much of a girly overload if you pair it with a dress or skirt, but you may say “oh, what if I’m wearing a rocker skirt” no, it’s still a skirt. The floral prints on the creepers can balance out the masculinity of your outfit, that is, if you wear a skull top or something along those lines.

Personally, I wouldn’t wear it because of the way it’s shaped. It tends to make your feet look fatter and shorter in length, not flattering! But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so wear it if you want to!

August.

20130803-164656.jpg

Time flies so quickly, I haven’t even recovered from the falls July gave me.
I really hope August will be a better month, but no. Just on 31 July I found out that so many bands would be coming over and….. I won’t be able to catch them.
Life.
So I’ll drown myself in (online) retail therapy. Makeup, clothes. {if any of you have affordable clothes / makeup sites, please comment in this post}
Just at the beginning of August I had an argument with Z, bad start. I hope we’ll get along better.
Wishes for August? That I’ll be prettier and thinner. That I’ll get the motivation to study hard and do well for the upcoming examinations.
I hope August treats all of you earthlings right.

Here’s to August!

Revlon lip butter // eos

GUESS WHAT.
My items from drugstore.com arrived and among those products I’ve bought, 2 of them were lip products. The eos lipbalm (Passion fruit, from the spring pack) and the Revlon lip butter.

First up, the eos lip balm.
I’m really fascinated by those little balls, it’s like someone’s taking a huge cherry and putting it all over their lip, just without the color.

I started using the passion fruit – flavored one and I have to say that I’m not all impressed by its smell. It smells a little like lipstick, just more pleasant. However, it is amazing as a lip balm. It totally moisturizes and keeps my lips feeling kissable. I might want to try other flavors, just to prep my lips till the day I get to kiss Z. Rating : 7/10!

Next, the Revlon lip butter.
This has to be my favorite lip product, or at least, one of them. It glides onto my lips super smoothly, just like butter. Mine is in the shade berry smoothie and it provides me with a perfect amount of tint I would want on my lips. Including a super moisturizing effect that leaves my lips hydrated and feeling soft.

I would definitely buy other shades, it’s worth it! Especially when it’s $6 on drugstore.com and you get 5% cashback in drugstore dollars.

And I bought it because missglamorazzi and Estée raved about it. Rating, 9/10. LOVE.
